I agree with you and I think that things are changing fast! Countries who have been funding and arming ISIS in the previous years are now fighting against them. Countries who wanted to attack Syria are now willing co operate with Bashar al Assad to destroy ISIS. Hezbollah that is known as a terrorist group is now fighting alongside the West. Iran who has always been "the bad guy" is now fighting ISIS directly using its own Quds troops. And I think ISIS is a great opportunity for the West and Iran to become friends.
You know, I kind of agree with your statement about the US. Our government is very quick to point fingers at those who show any sign of wanting to defend themselves. Take your country for example, Iran has done no real harm to the US since the 1970s. Sure your former President was a little on the crazy side, so I can understand the hesitation there. But your new President, who has offered to help Iraq with ISIS, willing to come to the table to discuss problems and join the rest of the world in a respectful manner, yet my government sends a loud and stern no. We're fed over here lies about how horrible Iran is. I've met a few Iranian people, and I see no hate, no disdain. I see a good, happy people, who want nothing more than to live their lives peacefully. But this won't change our respective governments. We as a people have to do that for ourselves. I have high hopes for a peaceful relationship with Iran in the future.
